Celebrate Earth Day at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary

March 12, 2026 – Coming up on April 18 be sure to celebrate Earth Day with a visit to the festival at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary.

Along with the 470-acre forest and its abundance of walking trails, during the Earth Day Festival your family can enjoy games, crafts, scavenger hunts, live music, vendors, food trucks, guest speakers and more. It looks like they will have something for everyone and as a bonus you get to learn how you can help save the Earth. What could be better?

This beautiful venue, tucked away near the southern limits of Titusville, has plenty of well-worn paths through the woods that preserve a diversity of natural habitats. Several miles of hiking trails allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

Wildlife observation, nature photography, and hiking are popular recreational activities. A wonderful wealth of plant life also abounds as both temperate (northern) and subtropical (southern) species grow in the Sanctuary together. The Management & Education Center interprets the Sanctuary’s unique natural features for visitors of all ages and abilities.

There are five basic habitat types found at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary: Oak scrub, mesic and hydric hammock, wet prairie, and pine flatwood. Wildlife species found here include the Eastern indigo snake, Florida scrub lizard, gopher tortoise, white-tailed deer, and bobcat.

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is the first property that was purchased by the Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program. The EEL Program is dedicated to conservation through land acquisition and management.

Brevard County’s Parks & Recreation Department manages and assists the program. The EEL Program protects Brevard County’s unique natural habitats, while managing them for their rare, threatened, endangered, or endemic plants and animals.  The EEL Program also provides outdoor learning and recreational opportunities to Brevard County citizens and visitors.
