Not Just Another Bridge: A Unique Landmark

A. Max Brewer Bridge, an icon, a landmark. Often bridges have seemingly a single purpose: getting people across a body of water or other structure. However, the A. Max Brewer Bridge is different. It represents recreation, nature and beauty nestled right next to Historic Downtown Titusville.
Max Brewer Bridge is a key part of the local landscape, offering not only a functional role but also serving as a popular spot for visitors to take in scenic views, especially during sunrise when the bridge offers an unobstructed view of the sun rising over the Indian River.

If you have never driven, walked or biked over the Max Brewer Bridge going East, you are missing out on an experience in itself. As you look to the left, you see a stunning marina – boats galore – kayakers, windsurfers and wildlife. Peer to your right and see views of NASA and the Vehicle Assembly Building.
In 2011, this bridge opened at 3,207 feet tall with a vertical clearance of 65 feet. This bridge developed innovative solutions for a precast. In 2012, it received the America’s Transportation Award.
